How
Big is this Business?
The garment decoration industry
is BIG.
In 2007 the total revenue for this industry was $43.9
billion in the U.S. alone!
And it’s growing! The garment decoration industry
grew 6.1% in 2005 and 5.4% in 2006. This big industry has
been incredibly profitable. In 2007, more
than 97% of garment decoration
businesses reported profits.
The digital printing revolution is expected to increase
those numbers. Currently, direct-to-garment printing accounts
for 1% of this huge industry, and that number is expected
to jump to 10%, or $12.8
billion, by 2010. The authors
spared no effort to detail how readers can take advantage
of this opportunity. Two thirds of the book is devoted to
sales and marketing to show the readers how to generate
business for digitally printed garments.
